WE DID IT!
HHH Mijas Charity Walk May 2021
Saturday 15th May the Mijas mountain range was the venue for the hugely successful Mijas Hash Hash House harriers 32KM sponsored walk -Run, From Barranco Blanco to Entrerrios. The event was in conjunction with Positively Blue and Positively Pink cancer charity organizations to raise money for these two well deserved causes. The day was a huge success due to the amazing sponsors, organisers and the kind brave participants who had the option to complete either half the course or incredibly the full 32KM over unforgiving mountain terrain whilst being punished with the unforgiving 30+ degree sun and of course no shade. The event organisers pulled out all the stops. Their professional service provide an easy accurately marked route along with drinks stops which also served up a selection of wonderful homemade sandwiches. To assist the organisers Herbal Life energy and rehydration products were in abundance and there was a guest appearance from the crazy team at Dempsey’s Irish Bar dressed for the occasion in Hula skirts. The events success was complemented by the fabulous sponsors. Tikiboo with fabulously designed T-shirts for all participants, the coasts favourite restaurant, El Oceano and a huge thank you to Costa Del Sols leading professional real estate company Strand who not only very generously sponsored the event but who’s team members took park in this epic achievement. A Total account of funds raised will be available soon once all sponsors monies have been received, first calculations collected by the Mijas H3 is just over 2,000 euro!!! Amazing, Well done to everyone involved.
