Mystery coach trip run number 1827 Saturday October 29th to Sunday October 30th.
Anniversaries: Stiffanny 545, Big Brother 15,Colonic Irrigation 500, Masterbates 175, Just SayWhen ( QUEEN OF TRAILS) 280, Pister Breaker 75, Kennel 20.
After pick ups by coach at Fuengirola and La Cala we set off on our mystery run trip. Excited, brimming with anticipation and trepidation, we wondered where it was all going to happen?
A celebration of Sir Flakey's 70th birthday. The man,the icon, the epitome of hashing and hareing about to enter his twilight zone. He is adored and deified …..long may he continue!!! The founder of our Hash, still here to tell the tales and sing the songs!!! Allelujah!!
Now back to reality.
It was so much of a mystery I still don't know where we went. Definitely South towards Gibraltar. Castellar de la Frontera has been muted but who am I to argue. I know nothing...
Perfect hashing weather. We gathered I think about 38 eager souls to embark on a delightfully meandering route along a river in a stunning valley. The machos had initially done a gratuitous loop to later catch up with the others. Gentle undulation was the order of the day. Giddy with excitement on our founders birthday, imbibing the glorious scenery and social intercourse.
A beer and a cava stop to quench our thirst and courtesy of Stiffanny a plethora of homemade sausage rolls and divine banana cake.( Just salivating at the memory) The hostess and hare with the mostess. Not forgetting the fabulous Just say when who hared too. Two formidable women and the former, wife of our most wonderful founder, Sir Flakey.( Doff the cap please as a show of respect)
Colonic ,in his usual indomitable fashion, dispensed salutary advice and cleansed us of our heinous sins.
Time to party.... Our themes were Halloween or Rockabilly.
The restaurant was super with great food and wine and as dinner finished we swiftly headed into the adjoining nightclub to partaaay the night away.
Our most benevolent, considerate, beloved founder, Sir Flakey had paid for “The Howlin Ramblers “ to entertain not only us but most of the Spanish living in the environs!! ( This man should be beatified)......
Well howling it was....full of energy, musicality and fantastic fun.
What a wonderful celebration Sir Flakey!!!
