Report:
I was chauffer driven to the hash this week with our 3 dogs by neighbour
"Kennel", the black clouds overhead look ominous, but they stayed on the
distant mountains on what turned out to be a lovely sunny run. With the GM,
assistant GM, and RA away this week, I was called up for stand in GM and
"From Behind" with note book in hand was the covering the missing RA, it
looked like a reasonable turn out with a few returning visitortors and a
young couple whom had just set up home in the Granada mountains, Circle
called, "Jerry Can" and "Sweet and Low" proceeded to give details on how the
run was set, NO false trails and a 3 Km loop for the macho runners!!! Hash
photo out of the way the pack set off, with the first 5 minutes the "Macho"
trail sign appeared at this point we lost "Bloody Pinocchio", "Salmonella
Rushdie" and "Lilo Lil" the Fit buggers!!! For the rest of us it was a
pleasant route march through the Campo, a few checks had us spending a bit
of time finding the true trail but with NO falsies we were soon On On, the
trail took us to the English school and over the N 340 heading towards the
beach, it was funny to see twenty or so weird hashers strolling along the
beach past all the tourists laying on the expensive sun beds supping
cocktails!! I must try this one weekend!!! BEER STOP, was the next marking
and the pack regrouped with the Macho runners, very pleasant first half and
splendid nibbles, even the Bradwees had kindly donated some snacks! With the
pack well nourished it was off back under the N 340 and a shaded stroll back
to the cars, unfortunately for "Lilo Lil" and "Not the 9pm News" whom over
shot the "on in" sign and after see the pack at their cars had to retraced
their tracks only for "Not the 9pm News" to take a massive tumble, turning
up finish cut, bruised covered in dust what a way to finish!!!
Circled called by stand in GM "Sir Flakey" visitors were brought in for a
customary down down, we hope our new hashes from Granada will be able to
join us a gain and the Smiler from Aberdeen H3, after a long discussion on
our way home in the car I found out I had met "Not the 9pm news" only a few
weeks previous on the Copenhagen H3 run with "Rub her turd" and "Sperm aid"
!! small world.
The stand in RA "From behind" then ceremoniously cleansed all the sinners,
even "Salmonella Rushdie" help out.
On On On was at "Jerry cans" house with a bring your own affair,
unfortunately due to religious beliefs I had to head home, well done "Jerry
can" and "Sweet and Low" for a great run, and don't mention the football
result!!!!
