Well knock me down with a feather, it was as if someone Opened the Oven Door! Easter Sunday was a serious scorcher after all the Muddy Rain and drizzle we´ve had! Lots of us dressed up in Bunny attire and Come Pussy won best dressed!
The previous day I had won first prize in a raffle and came armed with a sweetie jar filled with 445 Cadbury Mini Eggs! Our thoughtful hares had set us up a Gazebo at the run start as there was no shade.
Our GM arrived late but he did bring 2 virgins Pierre and Alice all the way from Froggie land.
The run started with great promise to be kind to the new weather but soon turned into a bit of a stinker with a few steep hills and a reminder of where From Behind went arse over tit and did his shoulder in!
We groaned as we dragged ourselves up the first hill to a nice shady tunnel as we had all thought this was where the Beer Stop would be! Groan! up a few more hills with a bit more groaning, especially as Dogs Bollocks passed us on his electric bike...cheat! Eventually after nearly gagging on the last hill we found the beer stop with a veritable plethora of Cava, Beer, Chocolate fingers, hot cross buns and crisps! I downed 2 cokes and filled my gob with crisps and felt much better! Padre joined us there after a road trip from Ireland via France and Valencia.
CCI and STTI had some kind of water fight and we still have no idea what it stands for!. We set off for the second half all refreshed and rested to complete a much kinder downward trail back to the circle. Google Masterbates still had his jacket unzipped from the run when he posed by some yellow dinky toy of a car and we all squealed! We got to meet Hot4Gizz and Elvis the dog!
We all huddled under the Gazebo and From Behind started his stint punishing people...well I got literally "crucified" for missing my own pub crawl and then had two attempts at "the sleeve" (Superb photo on FB by the way!) Hashers munched their way through about half the Mini eggs all washed down with a good few beers. Of course CCI disappeared to find an exhaust pipe to treat us to some Hitlerisms and we all had a great laugh!
The run was scored a very good NEIN!!! (9). For anyone actually reading this,
We have an event on Saturday 23rd April at 1pm to make Chocolate at the Mayan Monkey Mijas Chocolate Factory to do a one hour Chocolate making course followed by Lunch at Kokos which is also in the Pueblo...All Welcome but we (thats Blanka and I) will need numbers by thursday afternoon.
