We all arrived and parked our cars on the road … which wasn't a problem since there was little traffic, and proceeded to hold the circle in the vacant lot next to it. Our visitors – Seagull, Sweet Boobs and Alabama were introduced into the circle and given the traditional mamory test.
Then we were off … out into the wilderness of the Calahonda urbanisations … and then shortly going over the motorway bridge towards the sea. It was here that Salmonella Rushdie crashed into a metal sign as he attempted to go under it. Fortunately, and after a moments haziness, he recovered.
After some further urbanisation rambling we came out onto the wooden paseo that runs along the beach.
We continued for quite a way and then exited via a tunnel. Here SARS and I encountered a F sign … but seeing one of the Hares in front of us we shouted and were told we were going on a short cut. Hmmmm … however the Hare at that point didn't know where she was, and was frantically calling her oppo so that he could tell here where she was and therefore which way to go. This diversion entertained a group of us for some time and there muffled calls of
“hash shit”, well … not that muffled … the hare was lost!!!
We ultimately arrived at the first beer stop, which was in fact a cava stop. Selective amnesia then took over (thankyou Aqua Sex for the expression) and we all suddenly didn't feel so badly about the run.
Off again then to the second BS which was quite close to the start point.
We managed to have the circle in the shade. The first item was a handing over to From Behind - a look alike for Blaca Wanker - of a cut out of Chutney Ferret from his away day run earlier in the year (from the T-shirt of the event). This because Blanca wanted to have it sown on her arse (don't ask!)
The visitors were questioned and received their customary reward/punishment. The run was then scored … and I'm bound to say what a generous lot the hash were on this occasion with no mention (beyond the GM) of one of the hares getting hashers lost! The Cardinal then did his thing and then it was off to STTI and Rick O'Shea's place for a swim in the pool, great food and a wonderful party atmosphere.
Thus ended another great day on the hash!
