It started with a Hill, A rather steep hill. Unfortunately for you dear reader, your scribe, Frilly Knickers ably assisted by StiffFanny, retired at this point of the Run to prevent further exertions on what was an extremely hot August day! And, what a Big Hill it turned out to be.With our focus trained on returning to the On-In via the Beer Stop we applied maximum effort to do this in minimum time.We did note that there were some spectacular views (apparently) especially from the top of the aforementioned Hill. The route from there is a little sketchy, primarily because we missed it, but we did make full use of the Beer Halt in an appropriately shaded area under a large and welcoming tree. Beers were consumed just as if we had completed the trail…..Top Hash star Sir Flakey didn’t even make it this far as his treasured chariot, his Camper-van, broke down on the way to the Start. Fortunately, MessiFarty, still carefully avoiding strenuous exercise, was on hand to go and rescue him after the grua arrived to take the errant bus away.Discipliner and sin punishments were dealt with admirably by resident RA, Colonic Irrigation, dispensing wit and wisdom in equally poor and distasteful manner….. However, it either impressed or scared off our visitors Tight lips, Poker Face, LSRR, Prim & Proper who entertained with a song. Of sorts….No terrified Virgins were in attendance, but two returners gathered, Suxit and Insider Her who marvelled at the carnage and mayhem that they had missed previously.The run score was a finely, abacus-calculated 9.39 with similar marks for accuracy.The run distance was 3.00Kms to the Beer Stop, after That Bloody Hill, and two 2 Kms from there to the On-In. Marvellous!Those achieving important anniversary accolades were Karma Chameleon (535), ABA (45), Tesla Tickles (15), 5-Knuckle Shuffle (165) and Freckle Fanny gets special mention as I can ’t find out how many runs she has done!Happy, hungry souls then journeyed the long 300 metres to Peña La Peseta where an excellent dinner of mozzarella stuffed chicken breast was served. Along with the odd glass of wine or three. Well done 5 -Knuckle Shuffle and Brave Fart!Next major events to mark in your diaries are the Hash Summer Ball on September 30th and the Mystery Tour on October 29th.Lastly, if you have them, please remember to bring your Hash mugs along. Thats the drinking versions, not just your beautiful faces….!
