Run 1889 Christmas Curry Run! 17th December 2023 🏃‍♀️ 🏃‍♂️ 🎅🤩Well, I didn’t “do” the run, “set” the run or “hare” the run but was chosen to scribe it so don’t expect much detail on the “actual” run itself! We started at 2pm from a site next to the Bomberos 👨‍🚒 near the smelly sewage plant on a beautiful sunny December day. Most hashers arrived suitably dressed for a Run in the Sun! There was a very good turn out including 2 virgins brought by Pussy Galore, Maggie and SARS, Nicholas. We also had 2 hashers from YH3 Yorkshire Hash: D Cup and Heroine. Everyone was instructed and virgins called in to remember 3 hash names. Everyone set off: On on! Blanka and I drove by google Maps to the beer stop, bearing in mind I’d never been there before (too busy cooking curries!). As we unpacked there was this awful fear that came over both of us that, despite numerous shopping trips, we had forgotten to buy any cups for Cava or Down Downs! 😱😱😱luckily Yogi and Mummy’s Boy had followed us so we left them with the coolers, sausage rolls and cava to hurtle off to the closest shop to buy some bloody cups. It seemed like an age to get to Aldi in La Cala with the air turning blue with Aquasex driving like Mr Magoo saying Feck every 2 minutes. Blanka and “AGUA” rushed into Aldi and looked like 2 contestants from “Supermarket Sweep” running around “wild the aisles” looking for cups! Found them then the queue from Hell!!! The lady in front saw our desperation and waved us in front of her…then the ride back…we got lost! Blanka trying to appease Agua and even told her to “slow down” 🤣🤣🤣after what seemed like an Age we arrived back to jeers from those who’d arrived at BS with opened bottles of Cava on the verge of swigging it from the bottle! Sausage rolls and vegetarian quiche was laid on to please the crowd with STTI refusing to use any cups and claiming she was keeping some in the bottle for Rick O’Shea. It was a fairly long BS with Blanka and Agua leaving YB and MB again to “hold the fort” for the stragglers. There was talk that From Behind was genuinely “from behind” when sweeping/setting trail 🤭🤭🤭. Blanka and AGUA set off to return to the circle only to find Pepper Grinder flat out on the gravel at the circle! We didn’t know who we needed??? Was it Yogi 🧘‍♀️ Bear (lifesaver par excellence) or Dead End ☠️. The 2 Harriettes launched into “nursey” mode and gave first aid to PG who had fallen and smashed his head open. As the Hashers ran in we realized we were next to the Fire 🔥 Station so Blanka and SARS went off for help…minutes later they brought back what looked like a troupe from The chippendales! Handsome young FIT chiseled firemen all with stubble beards…the harriettes all got quite gushing and wished they’d fallen over and wondering when the Velcro would rip off their fire suits!!! 🤣🤣🤣Pepper Grinder was duely whisked off to ER by (fitting!) Bloody Pinnocho and Happy Days. The circle commenced with Colonic rupturing his thumb with his biro and smearing it over his forehead! Head who said Head?!!! Lots of forfeits for returners, cup forgetters, crap live hare, best dressed, but one down down was not Snitched: a last minute ITV was booked After Blanka and AGUA had packed the Beer Wagon with Coolers, table, chairs, flour, bin bags, Cava 🥂 (no cups🤣) and then went off for service “fully loaded”. The mechanic took the Beer Truck to the ITV and the test guy apparently said “This car must belong to Guiris” 🤣🤣🤣you couldn’t dream it up!!!

FYI Guiri means Foreigner in Spanish Slang! Anniversaries: BW 15,Barky 25, Yogi 330 loads of returners. On on to the Christmas Eve Run! 🎅🎅🎅
