Number of runners: 25.

“Up yer Bum” 795.
Start location was just off the N 340 passed the camp site in Cala Honda, many hashers were
voicing concerns over the heat, but with a swim stop in the sea, two drink stops and the
hares saying it was only 5Km it should be a “walk in the park”.
Great to see “Wide open” back after 6 years, now residing in Japan and she was jetting off
to Berlin in the morning!! Also back was “Pepper grinder” from legally hanging around kids
play areas in Sweden, we had also back in the pack “Doggsie”, “up yer bum”, “Cabin Boy”
and “Red Hot Chilly” are local hashers that had been AWOL for a few weeks, which made a
grand total of 22 Hashes a great turn out for a HOT July Sunday.
“Kinder” was stand in GM as “Sandra Bollox” was off earning the big bucks! Hares explained
the run markings and with the Hash photo out of the way it was On On. Over the first
footbridge over the N-340 brought us to a shaded wooded area and the first check, a long
false trail down a dried up river bed had the pack, which had the pack together, veteran
“Doggsie” knowing the area so had the pack on the right track and heading for the walk
way along the beach, once on the wooded walk way to has a pleasant stroll, looking at all
the tourists getting skin cancer and the odd naked breast which had the men hashers
slowing the already walking pace to a virtual stop!! Not too long before we came to the
“Swim Stop” this was eagerly met with hashers whipping off their togs and sprinting to the
inviting blue waters of the Med! “Smiller” could not be bothered with removing her running
shoes and socks, “Doggsies” just went in his underpants!! And Mr Bradwee did his male
version of Pamela Anderson, in a slow motion jog along the sand in his black running shorts,
socks and running shoes, it left the women sunbathers drooling as his manly body hit the
surf and then swam out to the other frolicking hashing.
Once cooled off the hashers continued along the Board walk to the next Chiringuito “Lindas
bar” another long false trail had the trail heading inland! Again it was a false trail!!! this had
the pack regrouped with the trail heading back on the Board walk, not to far along, the trail
left the board walk to a welcome “Beer stop” in a great shaded area. After pack had
devoured the crisps and consumed ample beer On On was called and the pack were off,
back over another foot bridge over the N-340, this came out at a local supermarket and
another check, two false trails had the pack going back up the road heading inland in seem
opposite direction of the cars! The hares had mentioned a “Cava stop” so the pack headed
off!!! This was except, “Sticky tart” “Uncle Fester” “Up yer Bum” and myself, knowing the
cars were only 100 meters up the road the “Short cutting” seemed a good option, at the
back of the supermarket we found a good track over some fenced off waste land, then back
down onto the N-340 a short walk and up a stairway!! Hay-ho there’s the cars and on in.
We were back that early we headed to the local bar on the corner and had a beer and a
Pizza, first in was “Wide open” she headed straight into the bar for a piss, came out had a
slice of pizza before heading back for the circle.
Unfortunately I did not make the circle as “Stiffanny” pulled up outside the bar in her car
and ordered me for dinner at home with the visiting family, I assume I may get my “Down
Down” beer next week for Short cutting, but from what I heard it was worth it.
Well done Hares ”STTI” and “Rick O shea” a lot of effort and I hope the Poolside on-on at
your house was a great night.
