I was not meant to be on this run as I should have been boarding a ferry to Morocco! But I was very
happy that I made it. The Hares Bloody Pinocchio and Pepper Grinder had found a virgin hash area,
in the Malaga mountains. A run not to be missed, a pack of 41 hashers squeezed into a “ALDI”
supermarket carpark which was fortunately closed for business. The GM made the usual opening
announcements, with visiting Hashers brought in to remember 3 of out groups name after the run!!
They were then introduced to all of the Mijas Hashers attending, would they remember 3 names?
Hares explained the run markings, Hash group photo done! On On, to the Malaga mountains, It
started up hill and continued up hill, under the motorway, and on up and on up, luckily half the pack
had taken the wimps option which will have saved a few lives, on thru a pick-nic area with Spanish
families enjoying the winter sunshine, what they must have thought of a bunch of “Girries”
screaming “ON ON”.
It was a fantastic trail up into the Malaga mountains, and the weather was perfect, the trail was well
marked with plenty of splits and checks, sadly no “F” trails to try and keep the pack together, once
we had reached the pinnacle of the trail you could look down into the valley below, and there were
the Hares with a small group obviously enjoying beer and snacks, a perilous downwards trail had a
few “bum sliding” but once at the “Beer stop” all was forgotten. Once the pack was fully Hydrated, it
was On ON again with the Hares explaining the second half was another 8 Kl run in!! Well I needed a
good run out and I am sure we all got that (those that did the full run). It continued Up a Hill down a
Hill, Up a Hill down a hill!!! The front runners “Just say when”, “Bad Weasel”, “Salmonela” “Big
Brother” where even finding it tough! “Rub her Turd” was doing an amazing job, and inspirational for
all the “Mature” runners, I was keeping a steady pace with “Pisster Bradwee” and enjoying a chat
with the occasional jog when coming to a downhill section. The 8Kl run in was certainly testing, but
some runs are short some long!! This was definitely in the longest category.
Back at the circle the GM was chomping at the bit to get things going as we still had hounds out on
trail, it was not too long before “Muzzle him” and “Speed bumps” came in, and the Circle got
underway.
Visitors, nearly got the 3 hashers names, and were duly forgiven with a complementary beer,
numerous Anniversarios brought in: “Pig wanker” 5 runs was the lowest up to “Kindergarten cop”
with 735 runs.
Others: “Bad Weasel” 20, “Pearl Necklace” 35, “Chicken George” 75, “Pister Bradwee” 130, “Speed
bumps” 245, “Sperm Aid” 365, “Rub her Turd” 435, “Just say when” 515.
Cardinal Colonic, then cleansed the pack in his “USSR” uniform, in respect for the love he holds for
his wonderful wife “Gang bang” on the second anniversary xxxx. Numerous Down downs were
handed out in the Ra’s humorous fashion.
The GM gave “From behind” a down down as look a like for “Salmonella rushdie” as he had offered
to do last weeks scribe but didn’t bother!! Maybe he had not enough “Energy Drinks” at the circle??
Well done Hares, great run, and a tasty food at the on on venue.
Lets keep “Mijas Hash House Harriers” a traditional hash, and in the top 100 hashes in the world!!
