It was perfect weather to visit the distant reaches of Calahonda. A location difficult for me to find, but with the assistance of the hare, I finally managed it.

In his introduction the hare warned us not to fall into the cactus’ … a useful tip as I was thinking of doing just that! There were also dire warnings

about don’t go this way, go that way, and it was all quite foreboding.

The reality was, for the majority not a pleasant experience. There were many complaints that the Wimps route was equal to a Macho in terms of it’s level of difficulty. However the Machos that were there thoroughly enjoyed it.

There were two Beer/cava stops, although with only six bottles of cava purchased, and ten bottles being now the required amount, they quickly ran out. This despite the Hare leaving first Beer stop to

try and buy more.

Clearly a lot of time had been spent reccying the route (the hare said he’d been doing it for six months) and there were three options for Wimps

and Machos, which must have taken a lot of time just to lay he trails.

So a tremendous effort, but just showing a little level of inexperience. This was reflected in the marking which (as already stated) came out at an average of 7.5.

The On On was at the Village Inn and had the option of a roast dinner at a very reasonable price.
