Hash Scribe.

Run number 1917. “Victory in the Falklands Run” Hared by “Cardinal Colonic Irrigation and 5 Knuckle Shuffle.

We were greeted by the hares in Military Air Force attire, and British Flags flying from the

camouflaged all terrain vehicle. They had set two runs, a short 6kl and a slightly longer 8kl for themore energetic amongst us.

Great to see some long time Mijas hashers returning “Niki Bitch and “Ginger minge” we also had “Superman” swooping in for another run with us!! Always good to see him, and a true hasher.

The run set off with what seemed like every trail was a false one! Over the Mijas road to yet another check, and this kept the pack together, but early days yet, down into some familiar terrain, and

another “Check” which had the pack looking in every direction! On On was called by our visitor “Superman” and down into the river bed heading towards Fuengirola. “Colonic” is famous for hating

trails along river beds, but this run turned out to be 80% in river bed?? Next came a split for “R” and “W” runners and walkers, I obviously took the runner’s option and ended up making my way

through the Feria ground and onto the Fuengirola beach front, here the train marking and with the help of “Niki Bitch” we found “arrows” heading along the Paseo on the beach side, this was very

pleasant with the sea breeze and lots of topless women to ogle at!! After about a kilometre of breastspotting, we took a left turn up another dried up river bed in the direction of Los Pacos, “BS” was the

next marking, and happy to see most of the pack had already made it to the Beer stop!! The final third was a leisurely walk back, under and over motor way roads till we reached the On In trail and

back on Beer.

A good trail, incorporating a multitude of old runs, good distance and well-marked, in the circle they were justifiably given a 9.6 mark!! Well done.

The circle was its usual jovial affair, with “Colonic” not performing today as he was a Hare, “Rick O Shea” steep in and with the help of his “Love child” cleansed the pack, “Superman” did his bit with a

very theatrical rendition, God knows what it was about, but it was fun!!! On On restaurant was the “Palace of India” which was well attended, unfortunately I had to head home.

Well done Hares, and I hope, other hashers will try and keep our 30 year tradition of scribing alive.

On On forever Sir Flakey.
