Run’s 1915 / 1916 8th & 9th June Glampout Weekend

Saturday Run No. 1915

Sunday Run No. 1916

We have endeavoured to make the Hash trail interesting, while challenging, and once completed you may have aching limbs.

On the run you will pass the “The Pantalias” constructed in 1942, to hide the passage of military vehicles heading to the batteries located further up the hill, they were built to stop

the prying eyes of the British forces on the Rock of Gibraltar! Much of the run is using the “Prisoners” trail, which was made during “General Franco” rein,

the prisoners were made to make the trail, which was constructed to transfer the prisoners from Tarifa to Algeciras.

For the long runners, you will run through the deserted Spanish military headquarters, with the mess quarters, administration buildings, passing remains of Howitzers gun placements,

supplied by the Italians to the Spanish army. Finally the trail will take down on to the coast, and through a tunnel of thick vegetation!! We came across life jackets, clothes, crates with

disused food and drinks crates!! We thought it could be used for Illegal immigrate smuggling? next you’ll pass two abandoned high speed boats!!!

Run Lengths:

There will be minor changes made to the runs on the actual day, but as it stands, we are

looking at : Long run, being approximately: 16 kl. Shorter run, being approximately: 9 Kl

We hope you enjoy the effort put in from your Hares.

Kindergarten Kop and Sir Flakey.
