Run - 1921 - 14 July
The hashers arrived at the (second) pin to find the car park was where a flock of sheep have their siesta. This almost got hares From Behind and Kindergarten Cop the award of Hash Sheep Shit! However, they set a fabulous undulating trail, with a macho loop and braincell-busting beer and cava split, so they were saved! Back at the Circle, Welsh returner Lily Sauvage was in sheep heaven, before CCI called him back for a Circle of icy shenanigans. Then it was off Niagara Fanny Falls' house for a delicious feast of bbq, salad, and booze, and a refreshing dip in her pool. Thank you to the trio of birthday hares and bbq master, Bad Weasel! On on to next Sunday, when Jerry Can will be sprinkling flour in Elviria.
Run number 1921
Spain have just won something and the locals are testing their car horns so it looks like a long night.
Anyway, what a great hash it was earlier.
The location was somewhere near the hippodrome, but when we arrived it felt more like somewhere near Fuengirola petting zoo. Sheeps and goats everywhere with a very laid back (albeit slightly chubby) shepherd. In fairness he has sheep dogs that would scare the crap out of most people so he could afford to be relaxed in his work.
El Cid had his first run in over 3 years and was re-introduced to everyone. One or two he even remembered.
25 runners braved the route including our visitor Deadlocks and our virgin Ollie, who seemed to use the run as a form of sprint training.
Our 2 hares, Kindergarten Cop and From Behind, treated us to markings that included half arrows that indicated you were simultaneously on the right trail but also weren’t. Not sure they’re going to catch on?
The trail split into the usual runners and wimps options and (let me just check exactly what he wanted me to say…..) “Sir Flakey was a great athlete who did the runners trail”.
The run was awarded a solid 8.9 and as is hash tradition we showed the hares our gratitude by icing the bastards.
Our sins were absolved, NFF won the wet t shirt competition, Stifanny’s heart is thankfully still beating, Just say When was reported for showering with a cucumber between her legs, Ollie wondered off and nearly got eaten by a big dog and everyone showed their appreciation for the wonderful Mijas hash by bringing their Malaga hash mugs.
We all departed for the on on at Casa Bad Weasel & Niagara Fanny Falls, apart from Colonic who stayed behind to have some special alone time with those sheep.
