Well imagine my surprise at being thrust into the literary limelight on Sunday 21st July.
Having spent the morning cleaning and packing ready to go back to Aberdeen after 3 months here on Tuesday morning and watching the sun get hotter and hotter, I was flip flopping between run/don`t run (or walk/don’t walk in my case!) when lovely chauffeur AQUASEX, tipped the scales in favour by offering me a lift to the hash.
We parked up under shade in Ricmar woods and thankfully no sheep, goats or angry dogs in sight this week. I was then promptly encouraged to get rid of all my remaining €’s and buy yet another Hash T-Shirt and another hat from haberdashery.
Circle was called by STIFFANNY who was the stand in GM for the day.
Several visitors and a VIRGIN joined us today along with TESLATICKLE returning from Montreal after 3 years. The visitors were SHITABOVE and BENDSASWELL, a Norwegian couple from Lisbon Hash and also ASS JUICE (Danish) and ‘VIRGIN’ CRISTINA (Spanish) a couple living in Ubeda, North of here, (North of Malaga, not Aberdeen!) who entered the circle wearing T - Shirts they had made especially for the privilege of joining Mijas Hash House Harriers for the day! They must know you guys are in the top 100 hashes in the world! His T -Shirt said he was called ASS JUICE (Don’t ask!) and that it was his first Hash in 10 years (His Mother Hash is in Thailand I think) and CRISTINA politely asked on hers for us not to be to hard ON ON her as it was her first run!
Hares JERRY CAN and SWEET & LOW informed us of Falsies, one spot and you are on, etc and that the 5km route would have one BEER STOP with CAVA.
We then started up the hill, then off up to the right, then up and up and up, then down and down, then through some shaded (thanks hares) dry water beds.
Several discussions on trail were about ‘one spot and you are on’ opposed to ‘3 spots and you are on’, Dolly Pegs and Tupperware containers!
NB - NIAGRA FANNY FALLS wants her plastic containers back or else!
The oasis of the Beer Stop in the shade was a welcome sight especially for EGGSHELL BLONDE who arrived after we had all left but at least he got a lift back and was happily drinking a beer by the time we got back to the cars.
It was a well laid trail by the hares and the CHECKS were all crossed off in the correct direction by the time we got to them making life a bit easier in the scorching heat.
AVERAGE SCORE for the trail today was a brilliant 9.8! Well done hares.

Personally I would have given STTI a DOWN DOWN for mistakenly eating COLONIC’s lunch at the BEER STOP, however, here are the DOWN DOWNS from RA, COLONIC IRRIGATION, that I remember:
Hasher No 1 - missed it! Must have been opening a bottle of Cava.
Hasher No 2 - missed it! Must have been wiping the blood off EGGSHELL BLONDE.
ASS JUICE and VIRGIN CRISTINA to probably prove that he can sit on ice and not have ass juice but mostly for making their own T -Shirts instead of having to buy one from our Haberdashery!
AQUASEX - crossing her legs and drink in her left hand (or right, I can never remember!) and also something about RAV’S having more storage in the back than a Lexus, as STIFFANY had found out.
TESLATICKLE - having 1 or 2, but 3 testicles now.
RICK O’ SHEA & STTI for something I can’t remember but then having to sit on the ice when RA spotted their bum ice protectors.
SMILER - having an affair with an Indian and for F**king off home.
COLONIC IRRIGATION - having an affair with an Indian and not F**king off home.
RACHEL - after 10 minutes and several suggestions later, Rachel was officially baptised LOVE CHILD
EGGSHELL BLONDE - getting lost!
On On was back at JERRY CANS where 4 of us had a lovely swim in the pool and then the culinary delights of BBQ chicken, sausages and steak, provided by STIFFINY. Thanks also to AQUASEX for getting all the wine and cooking the lovely steaks on the BBQ and to you JERRY CAN for your hospitality.

Now that I have written this, I can tend to my jungle of a garden, open 3 months of mail and go grocery shopping!
