Location: Campo Mijas
This was an epic run with a challenging distance in October´s scorching sun! Walkers and runners shared the same trail, all getting properly sweaty and thirsty. Two drink stops with snacks, refreshments, water being in short supply but compensated by cava, Jello shots and some German herbal healing potion felt like a sufficient reward for our efforts in following long but well-marked trail. One hasher was stuck behind exhausted in need of rescue and one almost fainted but all were lively at the circle.
Nice turnout including all participating in Friday night´s frinking. Buggered in the Woods and Chocolate Starfish arrived by taxi, Master Bates and Checkback just arrived from Sweden, Sand Paper Sally and Rob the Nob spent 2,000 euros to get here, Google Maps almost sent some of us straight into a riverbed ditch… but it was all worth it!
The circle was run by Rick O´Shea sporting his left nipple which turned some heads away and made STTI promise us to effectively dispose of this particular haberdashery garment.
Our only visitor/Mijas hash virgin reinvented some of the names, such as Stifania, Pearl and Agua; leg-crossers and right-handed drinkers were promptly punished, all dressed up were decidedly non-German, those who wore socks in sandals and suspenders made them look fashionable and acceptable. Stiffanny got a cream pie on her face as a special treat for her Hashy birthday.
Circle was cut short and we were off to Stiffanny´s and Sir Flakey´s house for a feast where German inspired food was served, copious amounts of keg beer and cava were flowing and German chocolate-cherry cake to-die-for, baked by Stifania was served. Those who didn´t make an effort to dress up honorably contributed 10 euros to a dog charity, and there was also some clothing sharing/disposing going on in Stiffany´s closet.
