It was looking like another great turn out for what should be a stimulating run in a one of the last remaining running areas of Mijas.

It was great to see “Sir Sparky – the old bastard” back in the flock, and we also had two Virgin’s on the run, they where from Denmark, brought along by “Comes more often” and then we had “I haven’t got one” Dog faces brother from the UK (More on him later).

The circle was brought to order by stand in GM “Kindergarten Cop” who started proceedings in his usual geriatric manner with the wrong number run proclaiming it was an unforgettable number 1984!!! Luckily “Jerry Can” stepped in to put him right with run number 1987.

The Hares where next in to explain the run!!, “Dog face” started informing the pack about the numerous “W” (walkers) and “R” (runners) splits, and was continually interrupted by fellow hare “Pearl necklace” advising us that split number 4 was a treacherous split, and could lead to serious injuries or even death!! Which was nice to know!!!

Group photo taken, and its On-On for the pack to start what should be an exciting run, within 2 meters came the first split!! On up the hill or keep on the level? It was a 50-50 split of the pack, myself needing the exercise chose “R” up the Hill, on the decent the pack rejoined the walkers, next came one of many gradients down a treacherous motor cross trail, I then passed “Colonic” whom I thought was coming back up the trail? No he was actually going down the trail “Backwards” next came “I don’t have one” in the same strange position going backwards!!! This was certainly starting to look like it was going to be a very interesting run!!!

The “split-trails” keep coming, and the usual suspects “Pinocchio” Rub her Turd” and Salmonella Rushdie” with others continued to be macho, and sprint off up the adjoining mountains!

The trail was well laid with plenty of flour, the checks where quickly solved, and the, “On-on” by the third blob of flour keep the pack moving, the “Beer Stop” was a welcome sight. The hares had laid on cheese and grapes for the weary pack, there was growing concern as “I haven’t got one” and “Colonic” were missing? Calls went out and then the bad news that “I haven’t got one” had had a tumble!!

The medical bag was dispatched with “Dog face” whom must have been worried about his brother’s medical cover, and was he in his brothers will?? The small group of medical helpers set off back down the trail, within a few minutes two weary hashers, one covered on blood came into the beer stop, in totally the opposite direction to which the medical party had set off on! They were both alive but one needing medical treatment.

Back at the circle, and everyone accounted for “Stiffanny” cleared our medical bag of bandages on “I haven’t got one” legs-Head and arms!! He was well cut up with excessive “bark” removed from his legs, but he will live.

The circle was its usual fun affair, with the stand in GM wearing his Happy coat “inside-out”. The virgins appeared to have enjoyed the run and managed to remember a few hashers names. The RA then cleansed the circle, with “Kindergarten Cop” in again for trying to fly back to the UK a week to sooner than his flight ticket indicated! The oldest tee shirt in the circle went to “Sperm Aid” 1983.

“Aqua Sex” – “Agua sex” - AKA “RotaFlota” was then presented with her 30th year of hashing mug, apparently that was calculated out at 9.4 runs a year! on the amount of runs she had accumulated in the 30 years of hashing!! Well done.

Circle closed, on on on to the restaurant Oasis for hash grub, I had 3 meat roast, and really enjoyed it, the wine flowed, and we even got a “Pacheran” on the house.

Verdict was a respectable 9.1
