Run 1997 Sunday 21st Decenber 2025

The 12 Bars recovery run, set live in the mist of Mijas golf by Salmonella Rushdie, what could possibaly go wronge! First the weather is always the hares responsibility,which was fine if we lived in Russia or the outer hebredies, some of the lost souls who missed the start could have been heading for Siberia following the elusive pin of Google. Rule one of navigation,always trust your instinct,and if its feeling "not right" its because your lost. I once witnessed Google Masterbates(all one word) driving over the wronge hill,and he is the master of the Pin. The bedragged bunch set off chassing our live Hare leaving the lost souls to fend for themselves. In true hash style Rubherturd soon caught me up followed by Dogface who ironically lives closesset to the Rushdie residence,but still missed the later start time of 16.00 Going down hill is not good for knackard knees and soon Pearl Necklace was sprinting by followed by MILF dressed in a waterproof Couger outfit and Judy in desguise as a fully fledged Irish Bog walking champion. RickO'shae was close behine still wearing his outfit from the 12 bars on Friday night,the irish realy know how to party and to survive in the mist. Suddenly I was all alone with just the echo of " On On" drifting over the hills. After the spilt I followed the W up a flight of stairs that had my heart rate up to 150bpm,I almost had my Roy Batty tears in the rain moment as I thought it was my time to die! After two puffs on my inhaler the Blade Runner moment had passed and I had to focus on getting out of the new urbanisation road system that I was now trapped in. Then suddenly as I thought it would never end,Rubherturd passed at the end of the Long and winding road that eventually leads to Salmonellas door. (Theres a song in there somewhere) but not before Pearl and the other lost souls passed me on the home straight,apparantley Rubherturd caught Salmonella marking the ON IN, so a perfectley laid trail that kept the pack togetther.

The circle was sensibly held by the open fire in Salmonela's lounge where we all thawed out and changed to warm dry clothes washed down with a few well deserved beers. The RA RickO'shae dished out more beers for those completing all 12 bars on Friday night including Chutney Nob Head Ferret, Mistress and family, himself and STTI. Dogface for 100 runs including a badge, Judy no name, I'll let the RA be the judge of that, 5 runs and others just for being there and doing what hashers do. Some like Jerrycan was only one short of the 12 bars, myself three, but theres always

next year. Sandra Bollocks wraped things up with a thankyou to our hare and family, a score of above 8.5 from the estimated 15 runners pack so lets say 8.95 as its not on the scribe sheet and I didn't here Mummys boy do the calculation. The resturaunt was easy to find,just turn around and there was hot soup followed by Irainian meat and veggie dishes and rice.

Well done Salmonella, and we all forgive you from the naked swim in your pool to cool off.

On a rather wet, windy and very cold Sunday afternoon it was good to see at least 14 Hashers turned out for the start of the this run, another six or so turned up late and missed the start due to following “Google maps” , future Hares may consider the old and trusted method of H-H-H signs, it work well in the campo!!! “Salmonella” got the run underway holding “one” bag of flour mentioning there was no “Beer” stop as the temperature was close to freezing!! It must be a short run on “One” bag of flour !!!! how wrong was I, off down into what will be a new urbanization, and more of our hashing territory vanishing to the property developing bastards!! There were numerous checks and split trails which keep “Queen of trails” running those extra kilometre’s, how could he set such o long run on “one” bag of flour? I found out later he had a back pack with an additional 4 bags!!! “Stiffanny and “Sandra Bollox” were stuck at the back, slowed down by our four-legged friends!! and decided to take a short cut whilst on high ground, not quite sure if it turned out any quicker? I was with “Mistress” for a while, as she battled with her umbrella in the exposed parts of the run, the wind was making it a little chilly, but the rain was easing! At another interesting check the hare continued the trail running adjacent to road, which would have made for a more pleasant trail, but having to trug through mud kept the pack on the road side, including myself, the next check had us on a vertical climb up a very step stairway from the valley below to back onto the higher roads, from here I could see all the late combers, “Dog face” passed me at the “On In” sign, and “Rub her turd” was way back with “Pearl necklace” still bitching about “Google maps”. Once in to the safety of “Salmonella” home, and greeted by a roaring log fine everybody was happy again, “Sandra Bollox” got the proceeding away as we all started on the first course of dinner, a very delicious soup (choice of two soups), The run got a very respectable 9.0 score, followed by “Anniversaries” which was “Stiffanny” I think 600 runs, “Dog face” for 100 runs and another one which I can’t remember!! (Apologies). This was followed by the RA who brought in “Queen of Trails” for not being a Page 3 girl!! In the local paper as an Christmas “Elf”, numerous other down downs for the Friday nights “Frinking” 12 bars of Christmas.

“Queen of Trails” was brought in again to explain next weeks run? It will be in Andalucia and on a Sunday!!! Check the web page for details!!
