Ghost’s of Hasher’s Past, Padre Buried & Off Road Extravaganza
Just Say When (Queen of Trails) & Kindergarden Cop (KC) set 3 trails,
1) Ballbreaker 2) Hashers 3) Walkers

16 Hashers set off in blistering 36 C sun from Coin to Guaro section of the Rio Grande. We had 2 visitors from Porto - Swing Low & his Wife - and 2 from Ireland - Padre & Hot For Jizz (HFJ).
King Canute (KC) & me followed Running Nuts (RN), Bloody Pinocchio (BP), Big Brother (BB) & Salmonella Rushdie (SR) off on 1) the others on 2) & 3) trails in the
opposite directions. 1) hit the running water river. KC could not turn back the flow so he & I turned back to 2) & 3) via the start circle. He met QoT & she showed him the short cuts to the BS, while I did 2) Up Up Up then Down Down Down into a tight, treacherous, fallen tree laden raven, where Padre did a spectacular forward dive burying himself in the wood pile needing
HFJ to exhumed him & a blessed relief for Padre & At no expense spared the Hares laid on an amazing extravaganza of four 4 x 4
wheel drive Land Rovers climbing & descended even steeper mountains thanQoT our goat can manage, even she was blown away with there antics.
It confirms the challenging terrain we were in!!! All runners lost the trail - RN missing BS & tunnel - while BB, SR & BP - who had
blooded himself on trail - got lost & missed the tunnel before the BS. So QoT lead them from the BS to & through the & S Bend Tunnel & Hashers fought through Bats, Tarantula Spider`s nests, Snakes, Slugs, Snails,green slime & even Ghosts of Hashers Past. I think the hares had imported some of these from there cars & gardens to spice thetrail up. I encountered HFJ running 2) in the opposite direction with hot beer & cola - trying to find Padre - which I wished I had taken as I lost trail doing extra up hill kilometers & arriving at BS last with the 3 runners about to depart.
RN - having lost trail - was found by the walkers dehydrated - having not taken water with her - so returned to the circle. The circle commenced in much needed shade RA being Rick O`Shea.
Many a “down down” took place, with a highlight being the RA calling himself, STTI, Padre & HFJ in for there disgraceful drunken antics on A Dolphin Cruise followed by Frinking then embarrassing themselves further when bumping into RN, Big Mouth, BB and me - we were called in - at Pals Bar Calahonda when a live music act was in full swing. STTI`s dancing was to be beheld, while Rick O`Shea was out for the
count somehow raising from his slumber & managing to find his way home on his own, leaving a string of clothes on route to bed. 16 hashers went to the ON ON at La Boma Alhaurin el Grande and a great day was had by all with thanks to QoT & KC.
