Quite a few things happened on this Run, apart from the running and walking. For a start the GM (myself ) had difficulty finding the Run start … and arrived eventually just as the hashers were about to leave.
Once on the trail a plastic chair was found and Bad Weasel then picked it up and carried on to the beer stop (as you would!) He then presented it to the GM, who in a desperate attempt to get some attention had fallen on the trail. Also, quite surprisingly, the Queen of Trails fell as well! The beer Stop itself was in a pleasant location under trees with a wall to sit on.
From the Beer Stop there was a runners loop which went up the mountain, and came down a difficult track to arrive at the river. The loop was completed with a lovely walk along the river. It was on this section that the GM had yet another fall … quite unprecedented! The On In was a simple walk back on tarmac, at that point most people were pleased to discover. Being a small group the circle was most enjoyable … the RA did not have to keep shouting for silence, even though Golden Cascade was in attendance!
It was then time for our “bring your own” picnic.
