Run # 2023 - 2024 20th / 21st June 2026 Annual Glampout Weekend
Run - 2023.
Hares - Sir Flakey &Stifanny.
Location - Facinas.
Hashers - 50+.
Visitors - too many to list.
Virgins - none.
Run score - 9.6.
Circle at 12pm around the pool to work out car sharing as limited parking and eventually all gathered at the starting point. Hares in to tell us the markings and a warning of a marsh and the fact our feet were going to get wet no matter how we tried to go around it! The run was set through a National park, around 4km, a lovely run with the most beautiful views and accompanied along the way by cows , calves, goats , donkeys and the greediest dog in the world!
At the beer stop we had lunch ( Thank you to the sandwich makers) and some filled their water bottles from the natural spring available. There was a little worry for WayAnchor who had gone AWOL but seemed the curry from the previous night had caught up with him on the run or should I say runs!!!. Kindergarten cop got lost (again) but the short walk back to the start was uneventful and we all headed back to the hotel to start the circle around the pool. As it had been very hot most Hashers were in the pool cooling down before the GM got everyone’s attention.
Run feedback and score given as 9.6 and RA invited in to start the down downs. Like most glampouts there’s a lot and other RA’s came in to do their turn.
Too many to list individually but we had Hairy Fairy and Dead end under the”Wanking blanket”, we had drinks being drunk out of belly buttons..YUK! Diego Cougars Bitch got Double Top in to demonstrate that bit. She loves being on her knees!!! Colonic had the best one drinking from Yogi Bears. We had testicles nibbled (PCP’s) by yes you guessed it.. Hairy Fairy. That’s what happens when you wear a kilt a proper Scotsman way despite being German. Hermie also had his tackle out quite a lot too. SARS had 3 Hashers coming over her and Up yer Bum was thrown in the pool probably for shouting all the time and then claimed that that had broken one of her toes!! Anyway there are plenty of photos to remind you of the circle as I killed so many brain cells the previous night my memory was a little hazy most of the day!!!
Circle closed and a couple of chilled hours either having a siesta for some or lazing and drinking by the pool until we all had to convene for dinner over at the restaurant

Miss Dick’s A to Z of Glampout Sunday – Run 2024
Sunday 21st June 2026
A is for Alarm Clocks… or perhaps the lack of them. Whilst some Hashers bounced enthusiastically out of their chalets for breakfast others appeared sheepishly at noon.
B is for Breakfast, where Five Knuckle Shuffle and Colonic once again worked miracles, producing enough bacon, sausages and eggs to satisfy an army. Miss Dick’s request for eggs with absolutely no hint of moisture whatsoever was met without so much as a raised eyebrow.
C is for the Coffee Machine, which continued its crimes against humanity. Confidence in it had all but evaporated, prompting kettles to mysteriously appear from chalets. Muzzle In’s attempt to improve matters by inserting a teabag into the coffee machine itself did little to restore anyone’s faith, but it certainly entertained the breakfast crowd.
D is for Dads, who, in honour of Father’s Day, were summoned into the Circle for a celebratory Down-Down.
E is for Evidence… or rather, the complete lack of it. Rick O’Shea, the RA somehow decided that No Name Kimlan’s massage gun looked suspiciously like something for adult entertainment. Miss Dick, being either a loyal friend or simply standing in entirely the wrong place, accepted the punishment on NN Kimlan’s behalf.
F is for Flour, the magical white markings that transformed sensible adults into excited children, gleefully shouting “ON-ON!” every time another blob appeared on the trail.
G is for Ganesh, proudly decorating our fabulous Bollywood-themed T-shirts, generously sponsored by Sir Rubherturd and Spermaid. Thank you both for adding even more colour to a colourful weekend.
H is for Hares, Sir Flakey and Stiffanny, who treated us to a second cracking trail through Tarifa with stunning views across the Straits of Gibraltar towards Morocco, shady woodland, beautiful old trees and plenty to admire along the way.
I is for Ice, the most valuable commodity of the weekend. “Ice the Bastards!” was heard on more than one occasion, although thankfully the ice was reserved for keeping the drinks cold rather than for any particularly inventive Hash punishments.
J is for Jocks, whose contribution to the Circle was to remind us that, no matter what happens: “You cannae chuck your granny off a bus!”
K is for the Kitchen Crew, the wonderful volunteers who somehow produced another magnificent feast. We all claim to muck in… although some are considerably more gifted at looking helpful than actually washing up.
L is for Lick Stop, where ice lollies appeared at exactly the right moment to cool down a hot and happy pack. Quite possibly the most enthusiastically welcomed check of the trail.
M is for Morocco, visible across the Straits while Tarifa showed off its gorgeous beaches, blue sea and colourful kites filling the sky.
N is for Nuptials. Congratulations to Cat House and Two Minute Putita, who celebrated a Hash wedding complete with suitably Hash branded attire, vows of questionable sincerity and, naturally, a trip into the pool to seal the marriage.
O is for ON-ON!, undoubtedly the happiest two words in the Hash vocabulary.
P is for Pause Button, who, despite being only ten years old, innocently picked up what looked like a soft drink and discovered several mouthfuls later that it was actually a shandy.
Q is for Questionable Dancing, inspired by a playlist of truly dreadful ’80s Eurobeat. We all insisted it was awful… whilst somehow singing every word.
R is for Radlers, the Hasher’s shandy of choice. No matter how well stocked the bar was, somebody always seemed to be on the hunt for the elusive last Radler.
S is for the Summer Solstice. A small group quietly collected shells, feathers and stones during the trail before creating a simple mandala in the evening. Once the tarot cards appeared, curiosity got the better of a few more Hashers, who happily joined in.
T is for Tarifa, which once again reminded us why this Glampout remains one of the highlights of the Hash calendar.
U is for Up Your Bum, who spent much of the Circle wandering around with a bottle of cava, greeting everyone with, “Would you like some cava? Give me a hug. Thank you!”
V is for Virgins. There weren’t any!
W is for Wank Blanket. Hairy Fairy was horrified when his luxurious, Egyptian cotton, umpteen-thousand-thread-count towel, strategically draped over himself and Dead End by the pool, was christened the “wank blanket” during Saturday’s Circle. Hairy Fairy insists it was purely to protect their legs from the sun and it proudly appeared again on Sunday.
X is for Xavier (Who is Xavier? Get Yourself a Beer!), better known to the Hash as Kaka Maps, who proudly drove himself to the Glampout barely a month after passing his driving test.
Y is for Yogi, who somehow became the preferred model whenever belly-button beer was required. Some talents simply can’t be taught.
Z is for Zig-zagging, perfectly demonstrated by Chutney Ferret, who spent much of the weekend mysteriously appearing and disappearing with bin bags as though on a secret mission. Ever the barman, ever the grafter, his weekend unfortunately ended with an unexpected tumble where his head met the ground. Hardcore Hasher!
A huge thank you to the organisers and to everyone who helped make the Glampout another memorable weekend.
ON-ON!
