Run #2026 05th July 2026 Campo Mijas Annual Pool Run
WALK, SWIM & DRINK THEN REPEAT……..
Run 2028 – Sunday 5th July 2026
The Exotic Cocktail Pool Run
Location: The Smelly Bins, Campo Mijas
Hares: Aguasex & Dog Face
Virgins: Rob from the Gold Coast & Faulty Dishwasher’s visiting grandson Aussie.
Overall Rating: 9.99/10
The hash began at the notorious Smelly Bins, where an enthusiastic gathering of hashers assembled, along with one slightly bewildered Colonic, who appeared to be heading out in completely the wrong direction in his car as we headed in. Thankfully, it later transpired he’d merely been disposing of some rubbish… proving that, at least for once, there really was a load of rubbish involved. The Smelly Bins jogged his memory as to what was lurking in his car.
The trail itself provided a gentle warm-up for the brain, with markings just confusing enough to keep everyone alert. Fortunately, by hanging back slightly, I benefited from the front runners busily rubbing out the false trails before I got there.
First Resort – Casa Dipper & Gorby
Rating: 9.99/10
Our first destination was the beautiful home of Dipper and Gorby and what a wonderful stop it was. Hashers sipping Mimosas floated peacefully around the pool, butterflies danced through the garden, conversations drifted from life in general to the possibility of certain hashers requiring new hash names and the whole stop had a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. If there were awards for the most tranquil pool stop, this one would certainly be in contention. Until the runners arrived and nearly vomited from their exertion.
Second Resort – Casa Aphrodisiac & Cradle Snatcher, Butler Included
Rating: 9.99/10
Our next glorious pool stop came complete with an extremely enthusiastic butler who immediately instructed everyone to remove their shoes, leave them over there, don’t do this, don’t do that… the only slight flaw being that he wasn’t actually anything to do with the house we were visiting!
Special mention goes to Clit Hero Kid, said butler who somehow managed to keep his own shoes on throughout the entire episode.
The house cocktail—a Ginger Gin Sling—deserves both praise and a health warning. Ginger beer, lime and what appeared to be an exceptionally generous helping of gin produced a drink with enough kick to make the walk to the next stop seem considerably shorter. Once in the pool, most of us became positively amphibious and required considerable persuasion to climb back out again.
Final Destination & Circle - Frog Hall Aguasex’s & Burning Bush’s lovely home
Rating: 9.99/10
As always, Aguasex, Burning Bush and the wonderful dogs provided the warmest of welcomes. Bonnie also made it her personal mission to shampoo my hair with enthusiastic dog kisses while I was in the pool—an experience unavailable at most holiday resorts!
The circle was full of laughter, but the highlight had to be the Virgin Challenge.
Visiting Australian No Name Rob, from theGold Coast, clearly decided that three names were merely a guideline to remember and treated us to a wonderfully daft musing that wove an impressive collection of Hash names into one gloriously ridiculous poem:
“Ahh, if I was to have a Mistress, would it be Sandra Bollocks? Would she be Aguasex? Would she wear a Pearl Necklace, or would I be spurned? I would turn to alcohol in Jerry Cans, become a Piss Pot and Dog Face, only to sit in a corner eating Running Nuts & Chutney (albeit Chutney Ferret’s), ending up all Blanca Wanka and requiring Colonic Irrigation!”
It was a brilliant performance and had the whole circle in stitches.
The only casualty was poor Aussie, who had the unenviable task of following Rob into the circle. Aussie did a great job himself, remembering several names—including Pause Button—but after Rob’s performance he was rather like the warm-up act following Queen at Wembley. Tough luck on the running order, Aussie, but well done for giving it a go.
Congratulations then went to this week’s anniversarios:
Running Nuts – 25
Caca Maps – 150
Blanca Wanka – 180
Pister Bradwee – 210
Aguasex – 310
A special congratulations also to STTI and Rick O’Shea, celebrating 14 years of marriage today—and an incredible 27 years together.
Final Verdict – 9.99/10
A glorious day of sunshine, beautiful pools, excellent company, exotic cocktails, plenty of laughter and a trail that was just confusing enough to keep everyone honest.
The only tiny deduction from a perfect score? Several hours later, that remarkably potent Ginger Gin Sling is still happily swimming around inside my head.
Many thanks to our wonderful hosts & hares, and cocktail mixologist extraordinaire STTI for putting together such a memorable day. Here’s to the next Exotic Cocktail Pool run !
On On!
