Run - 1884 - 12 November 2023 Sir Flakey's Birthday & Scorpio Run
run 1.884-12 November 2023-Sir Flakey birthday run
The Hares: Sir Flakey [of course]and Golden Cascade.
Unfortunately no virgins or visitors to be tortured by the Right
Honoarable RA, Flight Commander Colonic. I really like it when you see
them squirm!!!
The run was initially planned to be in Valtocado but due to Sir Flakey
falling asleep on one of the Rekkies and dropping his pipe on his
slippers, a massive fire ensued and the hares had to change the run
location to Urb El Hornillo, in front of Pepe and Inma's house, both of
whom came out to see us and say Hola! when all the weary hounds returned
to the circly after a decent 10kms hash. Some hounds felt a distinct
impression of de ja vue, however given it was a last minute, mission
impossible / jason bourne rescue hash, i doft my school cap to the two
hares.
We started off on the trail by Stiffanny, a stand in hare, as the two
originals were still out setting the route. At the first check there
was some confusion but Lilo Lil soon found the correct route and with a
cry of On On the hounds chased off into the scrub lands.... Through
various bushes and down a steep incline we soon found ourselves at the
entrance to a long, dark tunnel....some of the ladies were scared by i
reassured them that all was well and the followed me through....out the
other side and we all felt like tim robbins in the shawshank redemption,
minus the poo of course!! Up and over some familiar terrain and onto a
stretch or tarmac, then back down into a valley of greenery and then a
steep last 100mtrs up to the beer stop where everyone was happy to have
a cold drink!! Dont tell my dad, but before he got there I had a quick
San Miguel....;-)
Once everyone was suitably refreshed we carried on the tarmac and then
back on the green stuff (grass and plants, not weed you dope heads!!).
Quite a few hashers went off trail on this section, but by retracing
their steps back to the last check, found the right route and before
long were enjoying some lovely, nut cake with sticky, runny, cream
icing, a cava or two and obviously an orange fanta for me!! ;-)
Surprisingly for November it was quite a hot day so various hashers
chose the wimps route to return to the circle and a few followed the
macho route up the river bed. A machete would have come in handy for
them as the low hanging branches made it abit of an assault course at
times, but everyone made it back to the circle in one piece. I even had
a sprint finish with Bad Weasel, I let him win you know!!
As we were forming the circle at the end of the run we were surprised by
a herd of goats making their way towards us. Luckily Lilly Sauvage
wasnt on this run so the goats were safe....for another week at
least.....
The circle and Commander Colonic took charge, the highlight of which was
the naming or Sarah Jane, or Jane Sarah or Daphne, Wilma, or f**k knows
what her name is.....anyway, if it wasnt for her we wouldnt have bacon
and since we all like bacon she's a god in our eyes. Pulled Pork is her
hash name, there were better suggestions, but when the RA speaks, we
listen!!!
As night fell and mobile torches were being used to read the
anniversarios, the GM called time on a fantastic hash and we made haste
for the On On at El Niño in Mijas Pueblo. I went home for a shower,
burger and bed so I'll let my dad take over from here......Cava on
arrival, upstairs for mixed salad, pumpkin soup (with Mayonaise if
you're from Oz!!) chicken, fish and desert, washed down with vino of
your preferance.....Thanks to some generous hashers, Caka Maps had 300
courses and a few pacherans, flakey got jiggly with Golden Cascade and
almost fell out of the restaurant window and we had a good sing song.
I'm guessing there were a few sore heads this morning.
Anniversarios:
Bad Weasel: 10
Jerry Can: 315
W.T.O.S: 95
On On team, see you next time.....your scribe, Where's The Off
