Very small turnout for an excellent hash. Where was everybody? Injured, too hot, not in town were some of the excuses I heard. The ten who came included I Don’t Fuck in
Foreign Countries who was escaping the heat in Bahrain, only to find it hotter on the Costa del Sol, and Agnieska, a virgin, visiting from Poland.
Jerry Can gave us our instructions, also explaining that it was a short trail, around 5k. Anyone who wanted a macho trail had been asked to let him know but nobody took him
up on his kind offer. A very well marked trail with a decent number of very easy checks, all one and you’re on. The trail went around some lesser hills before heading down to the
beach. We completely lost trail at one point. It went into the woods and after a bit, no more marks. Maybe someone had taken up residence in the abandoned makeshift house
and removed them. Anyway, no harm done. We picked up the trail near one of the footbridges across the A7.
What a noisy, horrible place the beach is at this time of year. Best avoided. Much nicer and quieter up in the hills. The trail went along the beach for a bit before turning inland
where Jerry Can was awaiting us at the drink stop, a nicely shaded drink stop. The trail back was meant to be along the dry river bed but our hare fallen ass over apex,
injuring his elbow, and didn’t want to risk it so he ran the trail up the path. Good decision. Can’t stand dry river beds.
Circle was conducted first by Rick O’Shea and then by I Don’t Fuck, who is RA for the Bahrain Black Hash. With such a small pack they were scraping the barrel to find
offences and I don’t recall any of them.
Then off to Chez Jerry for a very pleasant on after, where the eight of us fit perfectly around the table.
